Discover UNESCO's World Heritage Sites collection from Mekong delta to Red River delta: Hoian old town, My Son holy land, Hue imperial city, Phong Nha Ke Bang grottoes, Halong Bay. Indulge into Long Tan & Nui Dat battle fields or Vinh Moc tunnels to learn how Vietnamese people have survived after long years of successive wars

Day 1: Saigon – arrival (-/-/-)
Meet on arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Leisure time. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 2: Saigon – Cuchi tunnels – Saigon (B/L/-)
Depart for Cuchi tunnels, built by Viet Cong fighters during the Vietnam War.
At its height, the tunnel system stretched from Saigon to Cambodian border and was three levels deep. There are more than 200km of underground tunnels, consisting of a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters and other tunnels. The remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life in the war must have been like. On the way back to Saigon, stopover at local homes producing rice papers & rice wine. Lunch at local restaurant in Saigon.
Discover Hochiminh city (formerly Saigon), the biggest economic center in the country: visit Opera house, cathedral Notre Dame, Central Post Office, Palace of Reunification, War Remnants Museum, a lacquer factory. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 3: Saigon – Cai Be – Cantho (B/L/-)
Journey to Caibe district, Tien Giang province. Enjoy a wonderful cruise to visit Caibe floating market, emerald rice fields, lush green orchards of tropical fruits. Walk along Monkey bridges linking villages, hamlets and narrow canals.
Disembark at Vinh Long harbor to see local market.
Proceed to Can Tho. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 4: Can Tho – Saigon (B/L/D)
Enjoy an amazing cruise to access to Cai Rang floating market, the most important in the region. Buyers and sellers are busy to exchange or trade local products or tropical fruits, vegetables etc...on board. Afterwards, visit Binh Thuy ancient house and Khmer pagoda.
Drive back to Saigon. Dinner cruise on Saigon river to watch Saigon by night landscapes. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 5: Saigon – Vung Tau (B/L/-)
You depart for Vung Tau. We start our visit to the White Villa, the former area known as “Flags”, the East Sea beach, located across the road from where the Peter Badcoe club once stood, and the VC Memorial located where 1 ALSG once stood. Check-in at hotel. The rest of day at leisure. Overnight in Vung Tau.

Day 6: Vung Tau – Long Tan – Nui Dat – Saigon (B/L)
After visiting the fishing village along the sea front, you travel northeast to the township of Ba Ria, the Long Tan Battlefield, the Australian War Memorial and Nui Dat. Whilst few remnants remain of the former Task Force Base, plenty of time is allowed to explore the area and visit the local school, which is in need of repair and is situated at the end of what was once Luscombe Airstrip. You lunch at the Long Phuoc Tunnels and then make your way back to Saigon
Check-in at hotel. The rest of day at leisure. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 7: Saigon – Danang – Hoian (B/L/-)
Morning flight to Danang.
Meet on arrival at Danang airport, transfer to Hoian. Enjoy a leisure boat trip on Thu Bon river to discover Thanh Ha pottery village. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 8: Hoian – My Son (B/L/-)
After breakfast, discover Hoian ancient town, known to early Western merchants, the city was one of the major trading centers of South East Asia in the 16th century. Hoian has a distinctive Chinese atmosphere with low, tiled-roof houses and narrow streets. Many of the houses were constructed of rare timbers and decorated with lacquer panels engraved with Chinese characters and pillars carved with ornamental designs. Visit historic merchants and community houses, places of worship, Japanese bridge and Hoian central market. 
PM: Drive to My Son sanctuary, the former royal city of Cham empire during 4-16th centuries. My Son was listed as UNESCO’s World Heritage in 1999. Back to your hotel for refreshment. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 9: Hoian – Danang – Hue (B/L/-)
Then depart for Hue. The scenic 3hours and half drive via Hai Van pass offers spectacular views of mountains, the sea, idyllic beaches and villages. Visit Cham museum and Non Nuoc beach on the way.
We continue further north to the charming historic city of Hue. Lunch at local restaurant.
Enjoy a boat trip on the Perfume River to discover Thien Mu pagoda, the wonderful architectural structures for religious worship in Hue.
Then check-in at hotel. Free time. Overnight in Hue.

Day 10: Hue (B/L/-)
Explore Hue, the former Royal city of the 13 ruling Nguyen dynasties: visit the Imperial Citadel, Forbidden city and Tu Duc King tomb and Phu Cam village where skilled artisans make conical hats. Duong No village where Uncle Ho lived his childhood before going abroad is our last spot destination today. Overnight in Hue.

Day 11: Hue – Phong Nha cave – Dong Hoi (B/L/-)
Depart for Dong Hoi on Truong Son road (200km) through war vestiges. Stopover at Dong Loc T-junction to learn the story of 10 female youth volunteers who fought and sacrificed the lives to maintain the road under heavy bombing.
Then continue our drive to Dong Hoi known as the beginning of the legendary Hochiminh Trails during war time. Lunch at local restaurant.
Visit Phong Nha cave listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Site in 1999. Phong Nha complex was known as the longest cave in Vietnam (14km appro.) where British caving expedition explored in 1990. You arrive in Dong Hoi in the late afternoon. Check-in at Sun Spa resort SUP Garden View. Overnight in Dong Hoi.

Day 12: Dong Hoi  – Hue (B/L/-)
Early morning, visit Nhat Le fish market, an ideal photo spot with sellers and buyers invariably wearing the ubiquitous conical hat.
Back to the hotel for breakfast.
Driver to Hue (200km). We visit former DMZ (demilitarized zone) along Ben Hai river (1954-1975) where vestiges of fierce battles can be seen comprising Vinh Moc tunnels and Doc Mieu base. Travel on Truong Son road or Hochiminh Trails - the north - south supply route during Vietnam war, passing by Truong Son cemetery and Ben Tat bridge (cầu Bến Tắt). Back to the highway No1 via Dong Ha town and the ruins of old Quang Tri citadel. Lunch en route.
Arrive in Hue in the evening. Leisure time. Overnight in Hue

Day 13: Hue – Hanoi (B/L/-)
Fly to Hanoi. Meet on arrival at Hanoi airport, transfer to the hotel for check-in.
Start our discovery in Hanoi bustling capital: Temple of literature, Hoa Lo prison known as Hanoi Hilton during the Vietnam war, walking through Hanoi old quarter. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 14: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)
8:00am depart for Halong bay, 180km east of Hanoi, listed as World Heritage Area by UNESCO in 1994.
12:00 we board a traditional junk to discover the 8th World Wonder where the movie "Indochine" was realized with Catherine Deneuve, French star in the 1990's. Lunch on boat with fresh seafood. It is time to relax on the deck through the most beautiful landscapes with more than 2,000 islands and islets limestone, rising from the emerald water. Visit a natural cave, the most picturesque grotto in the bay. Swimming (if the weather permits) and relaxing on the deck. Dinner & Overnight on board.

Day 15: Halong Bay – Ninh Binh (B/L/-)
Continue our excursion until lunch.
12:00 Drive back to Hanoi. Depart for Ninh Binh whilst taking the road N10 linking Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh provinces.
Upon arrival at hotel, check-in. FREE TIME. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 16: Ninh Binh – Maichau (B/L/D)
Enjoy the spectacular scenery during a boat cruise on the Ngo Dong river. Afterwards, visit Bich Dong pagoda where the opening of Indochine movie was realized with French star Catherine Deneuve in 1991. Lunch at local restaurant.
Proceed to Mai Chau via breathtaking landscapes: fields of tapioca, green tea, sugar cane and rice paddies and see villagers in the fields logging or herding buffalo.  Home stay in Mai Chau valley.

Day 17: Mai Chau – Hanoi (B/L/-)
Short trek around the villages Van, Lac and Poom Cong between stilt houses, rice fields, fishing ponds.
Return to Hanoi. Leisure time for last shopping. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 18: Hanoi – departure (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Hanoi International Airport for departure flight. End of services. Check-out before 12:00
